It contains a porcelain bowl from the Seltmann Weiden manufactory, a stainless-steel insert and two certified organic seed pads (DE-ÖKO-070) of the rocket and garden cress varieties, plus a short guide on how to easily grow your microgreens.

Heimgart Microgreens Starter Kit

Heimgart is an indoor gardening system specially designed for planting microgreens. Heimgart works without any soil, additional watering or the need for a “green thumb”. Once watered, the first leaves of the young seedlings sprout after just a few days. The Heimgart Microgreens Starter Kit contains everything you need to grow the young seedlings: A porcelain bowl from Seltmann Weiden, a stainless-steel insert and two certified organic seed pads (DE-ÖKO-070). This is how easy it is to start the microgreens with the Heimgart starter kit: Fill the porcelain dish with water up to the mark on your porcelain bowl. Place the two organic seed pads on the stainless steel insert then place the insert in the bowl. Cover the two certified organic seed pads with the included cultivation covers so the seeds can germinate optimally within the Heimgart microclimate. Leave the Heimgart covered and at room temperature for the next 3-4 days to germinate. When the microgreens start to push the cultivation covers on their own, you can help by removing the covers. The mini plants will now receive daylight and turn a lush green color. After 5-7 days, the microgreens can be harvested and will provide plenty of healthy nutrients and add culinary variety to your plate. The organic seed pads consist of a natural fiber fleece on which the seeds are already pre-portioned and provided nutrition. There are eight different varieties of seed pads to choose from: garden cress, rocket, radish, mustard, broccoli, kohlrabi, radish rambo and red cabbage. All organic seed pads for the Heimgart kitchen garden are supplied with the cultivation covers. These covers ensure ideal climatic conditions during germination.
