This compact microgreens growing kit is ideal if you want to grow your own garden cress without soil, plant pots or complicated gardening. With one organic garden cress seed pad included, you have everything you need to start growing your first fresh microgreens at home.
Garden cress is a great choice for discovering the world of microgreens. It grows quickly, develops a vibrant green colour and has a characteristic fresh and pleasantly peppery flavour. Within just a few days, you can watch your little indoor garden come to life before harvesting the fresh greens for your favourite dishes.
Grow garden cress easily without soil
You don't need a green thumb to grow garden cress at home. The Heimgart Starter Kit MINI is designed to make growing your own microgreens simple and convenient. Instead of handling loose seeds and potting soil, you start with a ready-to-use organic garden cress seed pad. This keeps the growing process clean and straightforward – ideal for your kitchen, windowsill or dining table.
The garden cress grows directly from the seed pad. Once germination begins, the young plants quickly reach towards the light and develop their characteristic fresh green leaves. Garden cress is one of the faster-growing microgreens and, under suitable conditions, can be ready to harvest in approximately 5 to 7 days.
Fresh garden cress straight from your kitchen
One of the best things about growing your own cress is being able to harvest it exactly when you need it. Simply cut the amount you want and enjoy it fresh. Garden cress has a pleasantly peppery, slightly spicy flavour that makes it surprisingly versatile in everyday cooking.
Freshly harvested cress microgreens are a classic choice for bread, cream cheese and sandwiches. They also add fresh flavour to salads, bowls, potatoes, soups, egg dishes and dips. Used as a topping, the small green leaves instantly add colour, texture and a pleasantly spicy finish to simple dishes.
A compact microgreens growing kit for small spaces
The Heimgart Starter Kit MINI is made for anyone who wants to bring home-grown microgreens into everyday life without giving up lots of kitchen space. It is also an easy way for beginners to get started with growing microgreens. There is no need to measure or evenly distribute individual seeds, and no traditional growing soil is required. The prepared seed pad makes the process straightforward, allowing you to focus on the best part: watching your microgreens grow and enjoying them freshly harvested.
Organic garden cress seed pad included
The Heimgart Starter Kit MINI comes with one organic garden cress seed pad, so you can start growing straight away. Heimgart seed pads are made from natural fibres, a natural binding agent and organic seeds. They are produced in Germany in cooperation with a non-profit workshop for people with disabilities and can be composted or disposed of with organic waste after use.
Once you have harvested your first garden cress, you can start growing again with suitable Heimgart seed pads and discover more varieties of microgreens. This turns the compact Starter Kit MINI into an easy way to bring fresh, home-grown greens into your kitchen again and again.
