Microgreens Seed Pads Mix

With the microgreens seed pads mix, you get a taste of our milder microgreens varieties kohlrabi, red cabbage and broccoli.

Kohlrabi microgreens have an intensely fresh, slightly cabbage-like flavor and add variety to your food. The delicate pink-colored seedlings enhance cheese, salads, starters, vegetable, meat and fish dishes. Red cabbage microgreens have a sweet, mild flavor, are rich in vitamins and minerals and are a great eye-catcher on any dish. Broccoli microgreens have a mild, flavorful taste and are considered a real superfood thanks to their many valuable ingredients. Reason enough to refine your food with the young microgreens! With our Heimgart starter kit, you can grow and enjoy microgreens yourself 365 days a year - even if you don't have green fingers. You need the porcelain bowl and the stainless-steel insert from the Heimgart starter kit and seed pads of your choice to grow the microgreens - and you're ready to start indoor gardening. Firstly, fill the porcelain dish with water up to the mark. Then place two seed pads from the mild microgreens mix on the stainless-steel insert, which you now place in the bowl. Finally, cover the two seed pads with the cultivation covers so that the seeds are in the dark and a pleasant microclimate is created for the seedlings. Once the seed pads for microgreens have been placed in the Heimgart porcelain dish and watered, they will sprout within a week. The certified organic seed pads for microgreens (DE-ÖKO-070) are produced exclusively for the Heimgart propagation system. The seed pads consist of a natural fibre fleece on which the seeds are pre-positioned with a natural binding agent. If seeds come loose when unpacking a pad, this is not a problem: simply spread them on the seed pad before covering it. You can find more information about Heimgart in our FAQ.

Harvesting tips:	Harvest and enjoy the fully grown microgreens within a few days. Since they are young seedlings and not sprouts, consume only above the root. Always store the seed pads in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight. The seed pads can be composted after use or disposed of in organic waste
